Homer was able to change a civilization's religion and much of its culture by his writing. Write an opinion paper and use supporting facts to back your opinion up about the phrase, "The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword." Jesus declares His Word to be a Sword. How could a Christian use such a sword by using their pens to conquer the world? Include that thought in your paper.

Humanism was brought to a science in Ancient Greece as can be seen by the philosophers of the day. Write a paper on humanism by defining it, showing how it appears in our everyday world as we still cling too much of the ancient Greek philosophy, and how Jesus and Paul regarded the philosophers of those days.

Even though the Greeks were extremely talented in many areas and glorified the hands of man because of it, they were also very wicked in many ways. Loose morals, idol worship, murders and violence, homosexuality, and child molestation were not uncommon practices. Either expand on the above paper on humanism or write another one showing how man's knowledge and philosophies can make one look good in the eyes of the world, but spiritually can deaden our hope for eternity.
